Introduction to SMS Interface

It is assumed that the reader of this document is familiar with the IBM Web sphere MQ is familiar with the Temenos Transact functionalities.

The above diagram represents the flow of the message from Temenos Transact to the end user.

• When a transaction triggers the alert, Temenos Transact generates a XML message packed with the customer details such as the receiver’s handset number and message.
• After constructing the XML data, Temenos Transact invokes the Java API to send the message to Middleware MQ.
• The Middleware MQ sends the message to service provider using SMPP and the service provider in turn delivers it to customer device.
